The best mappers develop maps that never fully engage you with a full 360 turn; they keep you moving back and forth. In fact, I added turn calculation to my mapping tool BeatMapper Tools to assist them in calculating turns vs positions with a map parser. Unfortunately, not everyone is using my tool and not every "cares" enough to ensure the player's experience never crosses that threshold. :(
